How do we begin to explain our appreciation for Gina and her team? From the moment we met her and she was professional, gracious, and helpful. Gina welcomed our obscure requests, frequent menu changes, and millions of random wedding questions. Often times I give her all the credit for making my wedding as beautiful as it was! She didn’t blink an eye when she met with us when we didn’t know which way to turn, she welcomed our parents to her wedding- tasting when we could not go, she recommended her favorite vendors in the area who were just as professional, and helped organize our tent/table rentals … that does not even begin to describe her food! Before making any other choice for any special event, the Town Club has to be visited. Starting with Gina herself, every staff member welcomes you as though you were an old friend. The atmosphere cannot be matched anywhere in the area. It is vintage glamour at its best. The rooms are almost unchanged since the mill bosses frequented the club . A beautiful original piano sits in on of the rooms adjacent to the fireplace. The original decor is a taste of Sanford’s glorious past. The potential of what can be added to this amazing place for a specific event is unlimited. A wedding, anniversary or any celebration can be held here with guests delighting in the food as well as the ambiance. Gina welcomes theme ideas and offers suggestions of her own! I have held two events at the Town club to honor students from my school and the rooms were so lovely, the children were absolutely delighted. Adults kept asking for dinner recipes as the students swarmed the ice cream bar. It was hard to get them to leave without the promise of another celebration next year!! Gina Sawtelle from Above and Beyond Catering was the perfect caterer for our outdoor wedding buffet for our daughter and her fiance at our home. The venue was lakeside with 210 people. Gina came to our home a few months prior, as well as two weeks prior to the wedding to confirm all that we wanted for food and service. Gina and Staff catered our wedding on June 15th, 2019. It was absolutely the best food we have ever had in a catering setting. They were absolutely amazing and it was an honor to be able to eat their food on our special day!

SMHC / EPIC TRAINING LUNCHEON ~ Feeding over 300 people each day for 14 days at 19 locations! IT WAS EPIC!!

I was working at SMHP in Kennebunk and you did the catering for the staff supporting them. I just want to say that EVERYTHING that we had was delicious. In the 2 weeks we never had anything the same. FABYOULOUS JOB LADIES.

Oh man, I don’t know if I have the words to describe how happy my husband and I are with our experience with Above & Beyond Catering. Gina, Tammy, and the whole A&B crew have been extremely helpful, responsive, and kind since the beginning – from helping us put together our rental order for the big day to helping us figure how the day should run; they literally went above and beyond for us! The food was incredible! I have been dreaming of the mac and cheese since the wedding! My husband and I had SO many of our guests come up to us and let us know how much they enjoyed the food. We’re so happy with how everything turned out and are currently trying to think of a way to get Above & Beyond Catering to come over to cook us a dinner.

Gina is so down to earth and easy to work with. She was very flexible and does what she can to accommodate your needs. The venue was perfect for our wedding ceremony and reception and so beautifully decorated for the holiday season. Your girls were OVER THE TOP! I could not have been happier with the service. They were so sweet, so fun and so accommodating. They helped my kiddos put straws in their juice boxes when I was not available, they were picking up not only beer bottles but our soda cans off of the tables and helped us frantically get cake serving ready when the DJ announced it was cake time (and it was not). We could not have been happier with Gina and her team at Above and Beyond Catering! They provided a delicious mix of sandwiches and salads for our recent “Celebration of Life”/Memorial luncheon in Acton, ME. The combination of flavors were perfect. Special enough to please adults and not too fancy for picky children (and maybe a few picky adults!) The mixed dessert tray fit the bill, too. Many guests asked us who we used for a caterer. Tammy and Melissa were also perfect…the food presentation looked great, and platters were always quickly replenished. Most importantly, they didn’t rush us at all as the gathering began to wind down. We really appreciated that since many people traveled a long way to join us. Thank you Gina – I am sure we will contact you again!

Gina was amazing! Above and Beyond is such an accurate name, not only did she make sure the catering was on point but she guided me through all the details (like working with the rental company) and took the time to make sure my wedding flowed as smoothly as possible. She offered suggestions and alternatives bearing always my comfort, taste and style in mind. Her can do and cheerful nature was a pleasure to work with, she really relived a lot of the anxiety I had. Her staff was professional and really shined on the day of the event. My guests were well fed and taken care of.

Gina Sawtelle and the staff of Above and Beyond Catering truly live up to their name. I contacted Gina based on a family recommendation for my 70 person wedding at a banquet hall in Sanford. I had a small budget but wanted to guarantee good food and great service. Gina and her staff provided that and more! Our menu was haddock, chicken, side dishes of mashed potatoes, carrots and green beans and salad. Gina even prepared a traditional Afghan dish of Kabuli rice for my husband’s family. The food was incredible, fresh and full of flavor. My guests were all so happy with their meals. Most of my guests tried the Kabuli rice as well and loved it! My mother in law thought it was very close to her recipe!

The service was perfect, all of the staff was polite and friendly. Gina is a great businesswoman. She is straightforward and accommodating. Her eagerness to cook the Kabuli rice was a huge plus for us. We had some last minute issues with our venue and Gina was right there to be an advocate for us. You can tell how passionate Gina is about providing great service and food for your event.

I will always recommend Gina and Above and Beyond Catering and plan to use her for any future catering needs.

Above and Beyond Catering catered our daughter’s wedding reception at Broadturn Farm in Scarborough, Maine. There were 160 guests at this event which included a sit down dinner. I can’t say enough good things about Gina Sawtelle and her catering company. First, we presented her with the request that all the food be sourced locally as much as possible – this entailed adapting recipes and reaching out to local farms for available produce – done. Second, we asked if she would work with someone who would be coming in to roast a pig for the event – no problem, done. Third, Gina helped us figure out the best arrangement for serving the guests in a manner that best suited the setting and the tone of the reception, and the Above and Beyond Catering crew was delightful and professional from the moment they arrived to their departure. But most importantly, throughout the planning process Gina was fully there for us – always with a smile and a “can do” attitude – this was so appreciated, especially considering this is the busiest time of year for her. Without any hesitation, I whole heartedly recommend this catering company!

We interviewed several caterers for my daughter’s wedding and chose Above and Beyond. Fantastic decision! Gina worked with our budget and extensive dietary restrictions. Religious requirements included, no beef, no pork, no seafood and an large number of genuine vegetarians. I was so concerned that with these restrictions, the food would be bland or boring or worse, institutional! Not so! She even used our family recipe for fried green tomatoes, that were served as sliders. Everything was delicious and there was not a morsel of anything left over. People are still complimenting us on the food and especially the service. Every step of the way she was professional and a joy to work with.
